Mom's Quiche Lorraine

  • 1 ½ cups (6 ounces) grated Swiss cheese
  • 8 slices of crisp bacon, crumbled
  • pastry for 1-crust 9-inch pie, unbaked
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • (½ cup milk)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon powdered mustard

 

1. Sprinkle cheese and bacon into pastry lined pie pan.

2. Beat remaining ingredients together and pour over cheese.

3. Sprinkle top with Paprika.

4. Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 45 minutes, or until firm and browned.

5. Cut into wedges and serve hot.

Makes 6 servings.
