Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms

  • 12 ounces fresh mushrooms
  • 6 slices bread, crumbled
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/8 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup fresh parmesan cheese, grated

 

1. Rinse mushrooms and remove stems. Finely chop stems and reserve. Place caps into a baking dish.

2. Melt margarine and mix with stem pieces, onion and bread together with remaining ingredients.

3. Stuff into mushroom caps.

4. Bake uncovered 15 - 20 min in preheated 425 degree oven.
