Toll House Pan Cookies

  • 2 1/4 cups unsifted four
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 12 oz. package (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

 

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.

3. In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy

4. Beat in eggs, then gradually add flour mixture, mixing well. Stir in chocolate chips.

5. Spread into greased 15 x 10 x 1 baking pan. Bake for 20 min. Let cool and cut into squares.
